Default Gyala Hatchery HardMode (Help)

Anyone have any tips for beating Gyala Hatchery on Hard Mode, with Hench/Heroes?

I have H/H all of Tyria and up to Gyala but I just can't seem to beat this one. Some tips would be great. Or even help from human players

Well, there's the rather famous "backdoor" exploit that makes this mission very easy, so I suppose you could use that to clear most of the things that would put the turtles in danger. Then, you could set up one of your heroes as a bonder and bond the turtles as well, and drop your one can (which is really the issue here, because you can't take advantage of all three with only one human in the party) right on top of the turtles so that whatever gets through the party still has to deal with that. As always, a MM helps provide the sheer mass of bodies necessary to stall AI mobs (which go after the weakest things first).

The back door method works fine in hard mode. You just need to be very cautious about aggro-ing just one mob, and very quick to run away when the popup mobs start appearing, and when in doubt run away. Even if your heroes/henches are going down, as long as you're alive and have rebirth you should be able to complete it. DP wears off real quick in hard mode.

Aside from that, the regular process of taking an MM or 2 works fine.
Once you've cleared the route, make sure to quickly speak to the NPC and drop a couple of smoke canisters right near the young turtles because you can easily get swamped. If you have two MMs flag one of them on the young turtles as well, the rest of your guys should be taking juggernauts.

You can then either take a canister with you for that last small popup patrol that appears on route near that giant mechanical beetle thingy, or leave it. Either way you shouldn't have any problems on the walk or with the afflicted at the end.

When a friend did this, she took a air build with Glimmering Mark. With 2 other eles (1 hero with water build and blurred vision) the ele henchie having ward of melee, and also 3 monks.

I remember doing this one with 3 friends, wards, Aegis, Guardian, blinding mainly heavily against melee/projectiles.

But definetly being familiar where all the spawn groups are and where they're running to, when you kill the first group helps decide if you have to run or intercept one of the groups running in before they merge with the other.

I did it with a full team of humans. One monk went Life Barrier. We had one warrior who, with a little practice and learning that running off to aggro stuff gets him killed in Hard Mode, did actually hold aggro pretty well. A water ele (me) and some nukers. This was particularly effective when groups of warriors rush at you. Deep Freeze + Fire Nukes when they're all concentrating on the warrior are nice!

When we got to the turtles we just hoped and prayed...somehow we managed to keep them all alive. Using only one Smoke Cannister can help to focus the turtle's fire.

The backdoor way is far far easier...you can take it as slow as you like.

You can't be run to Gyala... you need 10K luxon Faction to complete the primary quest, befriending the luxons. Go do alliance battles or fort aspenwood for a while or easy quests that give you luxon faction.

Did this with

2 human monks
1 human warrior

3 SF eles, one with BR
1 MM (Animate bone golem + death nova)
1 Paragon (Shields up, Defensive Anthem, Watch Yourself, They're on Fire, etc)

I was the warrior. I did all the "stand here" and pulling. I pretty much pulled perfectly every single time, so that all the Kurzicks balled up, and our monks did an exceptional job of keeping me alive.

It was pretty easy doing it that way..if you're bad at pulling, then this mission would be extremely difficult.
